Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Washington County Small Woodlands Association. Our membership consists of 225+ families owning many thousands of acres of woodland property throughout Washington County. We love our forests and manage them in a variety of ways. Our members have years of experience and are happy to share what they have learned. We are a vibrant chapter of Oregon Small Woodlands Association which is the statewide voice of small woodland owners including at the capital in Salem.
JOIN US!
If you are interested in membership but have some questions, email us at washcosmallwoodlandsassoc@gmail.com.
Please consider joining us for any of our monthly meetings or field tours. They are always free and open to the public. See our Calendar for upcoming events.
There are two ways to apply for membership:
1. Print, fill out, and mail in the Membership Application portion of our Got Forest brochure.
2. Apply online at the OSWA website.
You’ll note these are actually membership applications for the Oregon Small Woodlands Association (OSWA), which is our parent organization. As part of the application you will be asked which chapter you want to be associated with. Obviously you’ll choose Washington County! Once you’ve joined OSWA we (the Washington County chapter) will get your contact information and you will start to receive things from us as well as from OSWA. We publish a monthly newsletter – the Forest Forum – which should show up in your mailbox every month between the 10th and 20th of the month. We also send meeting and other announcements via email.
